Put Any Car on the Showroom Floor

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

In this tutorial I am going to show you how to put any car on the showroom floor, even yours. I could not find a good stock photo of my car so I just found a random picture to use to explain these methods. Here is a comparison of where I started and where I finished.

Here is the image I started with if you want to use it:

Then I cut the car out using the pen tool, which I won’t go over but you can use any method you want to achieve this:

First I am going to start a new photoshop document and choose the size 800×600px. This is going to be a cool way to make a nice background.

Then I am going to make a new layer and put my car in the middle of the canvas like this:

Next I want to make my cool showroom background and floor so start a new layer below your car.

Now you want to get your rectangle marquee tool and make a selection around the canvas from the top, down to over halfway like this:

Once you have your selection like that grab your Paint Bucket Tool from your tools:

Now just fill the selection with the color black and leave the selection around the image. You can’t see it as well in the smaller image so you can see in the large one:

Then grab your Gradient Tool in the same place you grabbed your paint bucket tool:

Make sure your gradient tool is set to these settings:

I split those images up so they would fit on this web site, so those settings are really all on the top bar.

  1. Well your tutorials aren’t that worth coz u dont go more detailed into it…As in this one you just skipped after the last step you made “Make sure your gradient tool is set to these settings:”..and then you just finished off the tutorials confusing the readers…Well please dont this negative as i am only suggesting you to improve in the future…As and example you shuld take a look at this blog http://www.psdtuts.com and try to be detailed like that blog….Hoping the best. Cheers again!!
