After that right click on your line again and choose delete path.

You should have something that looks like this now

Ok go back into your brush options and change your fade option to 90

Choose your pen tool again and we are going to make 2 more lines. First click on the middle where the two lines meet again, then click your next line at the top right corner of the cube

Stroke the path then do the same thing for the left side. My result after this:

On your cube layer choose these blending options:

Gradient Overlay

Outer Glow

My result from that



Next I will get to the actual RSS icon itself. This step is quite easy. In your shape tool choose the bullseye

Choose the color black and make a bullseye on your screen. I am going to hide my cube layer for now.

We are going to cut the parts we don’t need of the shape and I am going to use guides again.

Put one guide horizontally in the middle and one vertically

Use your rectangle marquee tool to cut off the whole left side and the bottom of your shape until you are left with this:

Just delete the part where the circle is supposed to go and just add one in a new layer with your elliptical shape tool.
